If you plan on going to Kennedy Space Center, make sure to get your permission slips in as well as your Emergency Treatment forms if yours has not been turned in.

Memorial Day Roll Call was a success! Thank you to all the cadets who came out and participated. It is an honor to place flags on the graves of those who fought for our country's freedom. Pictures are in the gallery so cadets can go check them out!
To check out the article in Highlands Today, follow this link: http://highlandstoday.com/hi/local-news/flagging-honor-respect-20150522/?page=1 If any cadets are planning on going to the ROTC pool party tomorrow, they must pay their $3.00 by 1200 on Friday.
Congrats to our color guard who performed at the Rays vs. Yankees game last night. The event went very well and hopefully will perform as well at our next Tampa Bays Rays game that we are invited to.
Cadets who have ribbons, which is everyone, should follow this link. It will lead you to an Air Force JROTC website where you can build your ribbon rack. Simply select the ribbons you have on your rack, click the button off to the right labeled "Build" and it will show you your ribbon rack. This is simply to make sure everyone's ribbons are in the correct order and are being properly worn. This is great for cadets who are going to be attending any events or drill meets!
May is going to be a very busy month for us. We need plenty of cadets to sign up for our Memorial Day Roll Call, this will be the week before Memorial Day, 18th - 22nd. We will go out the three cemeteries and hope to finish within two days, if you are interested you will need to sign up and fill out a permission slip. We also have a community service event, our annual pool party, and C/O 2015 graduation this month.
Saturday March, 28th we will be volunteering the annual Relay For Life at Avon Park High School. This event will be held at the track and we are asking for as many cadets to volunteer as possible. This is a team event to fight cancer, join us and help make a difference.
Congratulations to the new 2015-2016 Command Staff!

There will be a meeting in the ROTC room tomorrow, Wednesday Jan. 28 at 0810. All officers, assistants, and cadets planning to attend the Feb. 14th drill meet need to be present. Any other cadets are welcome to attend.
We have two drill competitions we are looking at attending in February, one the 14th and the other the 28th. We need dedicated cadets who want to attend practices and are willing to put the time in. You can go to these drill competitions to win or you can go knowing you didn't put in as much work as your rivals. There is no in between. #noexcuses
Good luck to all of our cadets taking their exams this week. Remember we are still having practices this week and if you are in any events make sure to attend these. Good luck and have fun!
This is Samuel Gozo. He is a world champion in armed exhibition drill, these phrases do not get you where you want to be. Show dedication and don't be the one who holds yourself back. #noexcuses Cadets who participated in the Christmas Parade December 1st do not have to wear their uniforms on their scheduled uniform inspection day. We have already taken your grade into account, you are not required to wear it this week only.
Everyone did amazing at inspection yesterday! Special thanks to the drill team, all the officers and everyone who wore their uniform yesterday! We exceeded standards in every possible section of the inspection, that is amazing!
Everyone should sign up for remind 101, this will text you reminders about new information or events in ROTC. Just text "@mrcomman" to (239) 244 - 2776.
